Barbara Greenberg-Cordero, M.S., CCC-A, FAAA
Biography:
Barbara Greenberg-Cordero, M.S., CCC-A, FAAA, is a pediatric audiologist who has served as the Clinical Director of the First Sounds Newborn Hearing Screening Program since 2005. The First Sounds program screens approximately 20,000 babies annually and ensures that parents receive information about monitoring their child’s hearing health.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and Psychology at Hunter College in New York, Dr. Greenberg-Cordero received a Master of Science in Audiology at Southern Connecticut State University. She began her career working as an audiologist with developmentally delayed adults, then served as a pediatric audiologist at Miami Children’s (now Nicklaus Children’s) Hospital.
Dr. Greenberg-Cordero spent her childhood around deaf and hard-of-hearing adults, including her parents. She subsequently dedicated her career to providing quality hearing healthcare. Outside work, she enjoys spending time with family, swimming, dancing, walking in South Florida parks, completing jigsaw puzzles, and challenging her husband to a daily Jeopardy competition.
