Biography:
Eric Verfaillie, PA-C, MMS has been a Physician Assistant at KIDZ Medical Services since 2010, specializing in pediatric hematology/oncology. He earned his undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University in 2007, where he was named to the Chancellor’s List and went on to earn his Master of Medical Science Degree in the Physician Assistant Program at Nova Southeastern University.
At KIDZ Medical, Verfaillie provides inpatient and outpatient care autonomously to include patient education, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric malignancies and hematological disorders. In addition, he performs bone marrow aspirations/biopsies and lumbar punctures with intrathecal chemotherapy administration. Since 2018, he has served as a Member of the Medical Credential Committee at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Since 2016, Verfaillie has served as a clinical preceptor and guest lecturer at Nova Southeastern University Physician Assistant Program. Additionally, he has served in the same roles in the Physician Assistant Program at South University’s West Palm Beach campus since 2021. Verfaillie became a Member of the South University Physician Assistant Program Advisory Committee in 2020.
Verfaillie is a member of the following Professional Groups: Pi Alpha National Honor Society for Physician Assistants, Alpha Eta National Honor Society for Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA), and the Children’s Oncology Group (COG).
