Biography:
Erica Penaranda, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at KIDZ Medical Services, specializing in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. She earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Chamberlain University in Addison, Illinois. She worked at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital for 15 years in several different roles. At Nicklaus, Erica was awarded Hospital-wide Inter-Professional Nurse of the Year in 2020 and the Unit-based Nurse of the Year in 2017. She is credentialed as a Certified Chemotherapy and Biotherapy nurse and as a Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse (CPHON) by Oncology Nursing Society and Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation. She is also certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) by the American Heart Association. She is a member of the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the Academy of Oncology Nurse and Patient Navigators. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
