Jamell Walker, MD
Biography:
Dr. Jamell Walker is a Board-certified obstetrician/gynecologist and women’s health advocate. Dr. Walker earned her undergraduate degree from Stanford University before moving to Boston to attend the Harvard School of Public Health, where she earned her master’s degree. Her research focused on doctor-patient communication and after working for several years, she decided to enroll in medical school to pursue her lifelong dream to become a doctor.
Dr. Walker graduated from Southern Illinois University Medical School and completed her residency at Tulane University in New Orleans. She is trained in Robotics, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, LEEP, cervical conization, among other leading-edge practices.
Dr. Walker also has served as the Associate Chief of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Jackson South Medical Center. As a breast cancer survivor and champion for women, Dr. Walker serves as a mentor and speaker on all aspects of women’s health. Her patient care philosophy is one of partnership and collaboration, and her patients describe her as warm, bubbly, and approachable.
Though she is a proud California native, Dr. Jamell Walker is a highly qualified obstetrician/gynecologist with a strong commitment to women’s health. Walker and her family enjoy the diversity, beaches, and parks that Florida has to offer.
