Michael J. Thomas, MD RD
Biography:
Michael J. Thomas, MD, RD is a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist who joined KIDZ Medical in 2023. He serves as an attending physician at Palm Beach Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s Medical Center in addition to seeing patients at the KIDZ Pediatric Multispecialty Practice locations in West Palm Beach and Port St. Lucie.
Dr. Thomas earned his medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada after completing his undergraduate studies in Nutrition & Food Science at Drexel University in Philadelphia. He also completed a dietetic internship at Rutgers University and earned the credential of Registered Dietitian (RD). Dr. Thomas completed his pediatric residency at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and his pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital/Westchester Medical Center, affiliated with New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY.
Dr. Thomas is board-certified in pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology from the American Board of Pediatrics. His clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, functional gastrointestinal disorders, and the nutritional implications amongst a range of gastrointestinal conditions. He enjoys building trusting and communicative relationships with his patients and their families.
Dr. Thomas resides locally in West Palm Beach with his wife and three daughters.
